Easy implementation of a new customer/supplier name search.

Are you currently having to take your hands off the keyboard and use the mouse when you want to find a customer by name? Did you know it is possible to have a customer list pop up, based on a partial name search, with just the relevant matches? From this pop up list, you can then arrow down and select the customer you want. You never have to take your hands off the keyboard making data entry easier and so much faster.

This partial name search function is available for:

  • Debtors
  • Creditors
  • Stock Items
  • Jobs
  • Fixed Assets, and
  • GL Accounts

How does it work?

This search can be done via the keyboard without the requirement of any mouse movement as follows:

1. At the point where you need to enter a code, like a debtor code, enter part of the account name you are looking for
2. Press Shift+F4, and a pop up window will appear with just the accounts that match your partial name search
3. Use the up and down arrows to highlight the account you want
4. Press Enter
