Restricting or Allowing Event Enquiry Access to a Transaction Enquiry

The Event Enquiry is actually a button in the transaction enquiry of both the Debtors and Creditors Account Maintenance that brings up the General Ledger Event Reference report for that particular transaction.

The transaction enquiry in the Debtors and Creditors Account Maintenance shows the users all the transactions of the selected Debtor/Creditor.

What Event Enquiry button does is as explained earlier, it brings up the General Ledger Event Reference report for the selected transaction. This report brings up the transaction as it has been recorded in the General Ledger, which general ledger accounts each debit and credit are going to. This report also shows you details on where, when and by whom was the transaction entered.

Many dealers have been asking us how to prevent certain users from accessing the event enquiry button, so we though this may also be of interest to you?

This is possible in Triumph by going into the Maintain User Group Security (S-M-S) option and then selecting the "GL Event Reference Report".
To prevent the user groups from accessing the option, select "Restrict".
To allow them to see the option, select "Enquiry" at a minimum.
